Colleen’s Applique

Colleen has two quilts. her first is an applique. I outlined everything plus I quilted in the tree trunk to make it look like a tree trunk.  In the surrounding areas, I did swirls and bubbles in a black thread color by Omni Treads.  A warm and white batting was used

Her second quilt is actually panels.  I outlined ea one in a thread from Permacore called khaki. I did nothing else in the block. I also did a swirl/feather in the sashing and borders.  Colleen chose an extra wide backing fabric from Washington Street Studios at fantabulousbacks.com . Warm and white batting was also used.
