Winnie The Pooh

Winnie The Pooh Toile, oh, such cute fabric!  Clouds all over in a cream thread color by Omni Threads.  A Warm and Natural batting by the Warm Company was used.

Paws Everywhere

Val created this panel quilt for her very good friend.  I did paw prints in gray thread by Omni threads and a warm and white batting by The Warm Company was batting of choice.

Elephants

Bubbles everywhere in a pink thread by Omni Threads and I outlined the elephants.

Hometown Charm

Hometown Charm by Front Porch Quilts (a shop in northern MN), I did something new on this. “lollipop chain”.  I used a cream thread by Omni Threads and a cotton batting was used.  Nancy always pieces a quilt for the backing and for this quilt “Pladdish” by Kitchen Table Quilting (Enis Jackman).  Both front and back are fabrics from Sweetwater.

For her second quilt, the quilt top was pieced by Nancy’s grandmother and mother.  The back is again by “Hometown Charm” and the fabric line that was used is “Thatched”.  I did stipple since the piecing is hand stitched,  I wanted to make sure that it won’t fall apart even though it was well stitched.  I used the cream thread again and batting is a cotton.

Bonnie Hunter

Another Bonniie Hunter mystery quilt!  I did a combination of feathers, swirls and flowers all over in a cream thread call by Omni Threads.  A warm and white batting by The Warm Company was used.

Jelly Roll with Giraffe’s

Hooy has a grandbaby on the way!  She used “jelly rolls” and then appliqued giraffes on the fabric.  She used “steam a seam” to attach and sewed down the edge by hand.  I did “loop in a loop” all over and a little tighter than normal (per Holly’s request) and i stitched on the giraffe’s to really anchor down the applique ( all steam a seam appliques will peel off if not sewed down).  A white thread from Omni Threads was used along with a warm and white batting.

Connie’s Baby Quilts

Connie is making baby quilts for her future grandbabies.  Pink quilt as stitched in white thread and hearts/loops is the pattern.  Yellow quilt is with cream thread and stippled.  Blue quilt was done using white thread and I did clouds.  All of them had warm and natural batting.

Colleen’s Quilts

Some more “fantabulous embroidery’s” by Colleen.  First one is a small little gift for sister who is battling cancer. I did a very tiny stipple surrounding the bird (her sister loves bird houses) and I did it with a light tan thread color by Omni Threads.  Second quilt was much bigger (wall hanging).  With each of er quilts, I try to do something s little different and on this I outlined all the embroidery and did a feather (1/2 of a feather) using the seam of the block in cream thread.   Next I did swirls in the sashing using “gunmetal” by Permacore Thread and a leaf vine in cream thread by Omni Threads in the outer border.  Colleen also chose an extra wide backing from fantabulousbacks.com by Washington Street Studio’s.  A warm and white batting by The Warm Company was used for both quilts.

Pam’s Quilts

First Quilt is a Halloween quilt.  I did “spider webs” all over in a gray thread.  Pam also chose an extra wide backing fabric from fantabulousbacks.com by Riley Blake called phantom.  A polyester batting was used.

On her second quilt, I did “snowflakes” in a white thread all over.  Pam again chose a backing fabric from fantabulousbacks.com called “frozen Melodies” by Studio E Fabrics”.  A warm and plush batting by The Warm Company, was used.

Butterflies

Karen found this 1 block in a thrift store and had me quilt it for her.  Check out the details of the stitching which I did in a cream thread color by Omni Threads.  A warm and natural batting from The Warm Company was used.

Ryan’s Surprise

Ryan is not a quilter but wanted to have these made for his wife unbeknownst to her.  When going through her grandmothers closets after her death, she found these table cloths and a flood of memories came back.  Ryan sent to me and I made a lap quilt, reversable table topper and 4 reversable placemats.  On the lap quilt, I used a white muslin from fantabulousbacks.com.  A medium size stipple was done on all and I used the white muslin for the binding as well.

Double Wedding Ring

I love this double wedding ring.  Traci used fabrics out of her stash.  I did “geraniums” all over in a cream thread color from Omni Threads.  An extra wide backing fabric from fantabulousbacks.com by Benartex and called “delicate vines”, was chosen.  A Warm and White batting by The Warm Company was used.

Panel Quilts

Tracy gave me these panels to do and said to outline and embellish with quilting.  The first one I outlined inside the 5 sections with various thread colors.  This took quite awhile as I must go pretty slow with the stitching.  I did a loopy design in the sashing in between the individual panels.  Then loops in border surrounding the panels, leaf vine is next then swirls.  Finally in last border a large tear drop loop down to a point and repeated. The panels are called “Bird Sanctuary” by Wild Things.  The next two panels are identical and called Effie’s Woods by Deb Strain for Moda modafabrics.com .  I again outlined in cream thread by Omni Threads and embellished with quilting surrounding the 6 round animals and below ‘you are cherished.  Tracy used warm and white cotton batting by The Warm Company.
