“Samurai Squares”, this was a “Cozy Quilt Strip Club” from 2009. This quilt was quite the challenge. I looked up “Japanese Crests” (per my clients instructions). There were a lot of them! I chose one that I could adapt easily and added them to the centers of the block in red thread. Surrounding those “crests”, I did a swirly stitch in a gray thread color, a swirl in the red border and stipple in the black border (red and black threads). My client chose a warm and natural batting
